As I write in here, I love Bigbang so much, even though currently they are not active, sometimes I still continue searched their names in twitter or google. Right now, I will tell story about another group that I like named is Nuest. Sounds familiar but never heard their song? yes, that's also me. Before I watched Produce 101 season 2, I ever heard about their name, but neither songs and members. I will write from the beginning how I got to know them.

Produce 101 is a sensational program in Korea, it create a variety show with 101 trainees from many agencies joined and competed each other. I knew this program from Saniy and Ajeng, they told me this show was interesting and must be watched. I watched the entire episodes of season 1 until we got IOI. So, every episodes, the trainees will have mission. First, it will show each agency performance and the teacher (which is also celebrity) will judge them to each classes that fit their capability. It have Class A (mostly the best trainees), Class B, Class C, Class D and Class F (worst trainee who have less skill than others).
Second, they will form a group which contains some trainee from different class. Actually team leader can choose their teammates freely, if you lucky you can get team who capable doing all categories. They will give some songs, and each team need to choose a song, one song will be sing by 2 group. This two group will compete, perform and be judged by audience. The one who got most votes, will give certain point as additional for online voting. They will eliminate trainees, usually from 101 to 60 person. The third, the program will divided into 3 categories sing, dance, and rap. Each category will have 3 - 5 songs, and the trainee compete to get category and song which they want. Usually higher ranking (which have most vote) will have advantages, they can choose first. They also will perform and audience will voting. Result of online voting plus audience voting will eliminate them from 60 to 39 person.
The fourth, they will give 5 or 6 new song which produce special for produce 101. They will create dance, rap and perform by themselves. In season 1, the higher ranking can choose their favourite song, but in season 2 Korean public or Producer-nim can choose their favourite trainee into a song that fit them. This fourth competition will eliminated 19 persons, so 20 trainees will go to final. Usually in the final episode, the result will decided by online voting only. They will song 2 or 3 new song, and they will told the officially name. In season 1, they become IOI and season 2 they become wanna one. Anyway, until the third online voting, producer-nim can choose until 11 persons per day, but start from the fourth, we can only choose 1 person per day. So, that's all outline for Produce 101.

I love produce 101 season 1, all of the girls that I vote chosen to be in the final group. I also follow their activity from debut day, before I got bored✌. When I heard Mnet wil make Produce 101 season 2 with male trainee, I also curios. But I only started to watch it when fourth episode already on air in television. I also read in twitter, the Nuest guys who already debut since 5 years ago will joined them. It's kinda weird, because this show purposed to debut trainees not a group which already debut before. At first I just simply ignored it, because I think I will not watched the show. But again, Ajeng told me to watches because it was more interesting. So, I catch up all episodes which already on air.
Nuest came in first episode, when they came to the stage and introduce their self was not joked. Some trainees were happy to see "idol" because they already debut, some trainees excited and some trainees were complained because they thought it was not fair. Actually I can understood their point of view, it means they will competed with person who already debut and have fans, because Produce 101 is all about voting. Only 4 members Nuest who joined the show, they introduced as Pledis Trainee named Kim Jonghyun (JR), Hwang Minhyun (Minhyun), Kang Dongho (Baekho) and Choi Minki (Ren)
When they performed in agency audition, I thought "what is this? They debuted since 5 years ago, why they not give their full effort", actually I agree with Boa , she said they have power which show their experience, but still not the best. And the Kahi cried, she told she felt sad and pity to see her hoobae should joined this show, and this Pledis trainees almost tear up. They got lower ranking, 3 of them got ranking D & Minhyun got C. In one of segment, Ren said "we should be humble" and they showed snippet about them, how they want to give up, how everybody said they are failed product, when Red said he felt near the end of nuest, I also felt touch.
Next episode, the trainee were given opportunity to changed their ranking, they should train together and perform "Nayana" and the judge will re-asses their skill. Lucky Kim Jonghyun, his ranking went up to B because the judge knew his capability and impress with his dance. Unfortunately for Dongho he felt nervous and forgot the dance, so she stayed in D. Minhyun got downgrade from C to D, even the judge dissapointed wiht his performance and even Minki went down to F the lowest ranking.
The first things that make me touched and like Nuest is because the second mission. Hwang Minhyun choose their teams and he choose Kim Jonghyun, Kang Daniel, Ong Sungwoo, Kim Jaehwan and Kwon Hyunbin. They choose sorry sorry super junior as their song. They choose Jonghyun as team leader, first he kindly reject but when their team insist to make him as leader, he agree. Kim Jonghyun teach the team about dance and position. Kwon Hyunbin from YG K+ is a model so his knowledge about idol things was less than other, Jonghyun teach him with diligently, he even scolded Hyunbin when Hyunbin wanted to stop practice. The dance teacher praise Kim Jonghyun for his attitude which never blame his teammate and defend Hyunbin even he blame himself for not being a good leader. That's why Korean Peoples gave Jonghyun nicknamed as Nation Leader.
I love sorry sorry team performance, they were the winner, not only from team with same song, but they are the best in whole group performance, even the other trainee said they like the full package group. Kim Jonghyun only sing 5 - 7 words a.k.a one sentences with small screen time, but still captured many peoples heart. Even though he only got 50ish votes in live voting but his ranking went up with online voting. Usually his ranking stay in 15th, but after this performance, ranking went up to 8th. Together with Minhyun in 11 positon, he entered top 11 in the first elimination. By the way, I also liked Hwang Minhyun, he have sweet voice, very kind with other trainees and also handsome❤👀.
In the third mission is trainee divided into 3 categories. Minki, Minhyun and Dongho choose singing, and Jonghyun choose rap. Actually I never heard he rap, as I know from Produce 101, he is good in dancing. Jonghyun choose song Fear by Mino, he was the first one who choose rap, and one by one his team-mate joined. And again, in this group, he became a leader, he also teach Guanlin how to rap and write lyric. When the group performed, all of audience, member Nuest & the teacher touched because of his lyric. The lyric told story about himself, he was also struggling when people look at him and said cheater when he already joined the show. The result for live voting was really good, he got the most vote in Fear group, and in the rap area he also became number one, and overall rating he got the second most voted. I also loved Hwang Minhyun team, seriously his voice really melted our heart, right?
On second elimination, Kim Jonghyun went up to 1st ranking, even he already took 1st since two weeks ago. When his name being called, I could see how nervous and happy that boy. And of course his Nuest member also happy and proud to see their leader come to higher chair.
Fourth mission, Kim Jonghyun became a leader for Never team together with Mihyun, Ong, Jaehwan, Daehwi, Woojin and Guanlin. Of course he became a good and wise leader again, when everyone want to be center, he was the one who refused. Finally, hwang minhyun became the center of Never team. I kinda upset when they performed live, because Jonghyun only got 4 seconds to rap, literally 4 seconds. Even though Never was the best song in my opinion unfortunately they lose to Open Up team who have Baekho in there.
In the third elimination, too bad Jonghyun ranking went down to 7th, I thought it because Jonghyun have more public fans than individul fans. All of Nuest member ranking went down, but they all went to final.
