It was Christmas Holiday, so many tourist came to Malaysia, include me. Kuala Lumpur itself is so crowded so I choose to spent my day outside there. This time, I went to Genting Highland. This place is famous as Malaysia's Asian Style Las Vegas located at border between Pahang and Selangor.
To go to Genting, I need to took a bus from KL Sentral, it's better if you bought ticket first especially in holiday season. I also bought return ticket and Awana Skyway Cable Car a week before departure, I used Go Genting bus from KL Sentral, the price around 5 RM for one way & awana skyway around 8 RM. It took around one hour from Kuala Lumpur, the road is like when I went to Colmar Tropicale, windling. We arrived at Awana Bus Station, in there's have many store and supermarket. We directly went to 4th floor in same building to rode cable car use stairs.
Due to I went there in peak season, the queue for cable car is quite long, maybe I queue for 30 - 45 minutes. The gondola is quite big, maybe enough for 10 peoples. If you have big family like 5-6 peoples, the staff will let your family to fill a whole cable car, other peoples will get the next cable car.
I rode cable car together with other family, it took around 15 minutes until stop. The view from above is awesome, the line like split a mountain. I was little shake and afraid to see below me, but it will be pitied if you not enjoy those beautiful scenery. I heard, Awana skyway also provided cable car with glass floor, of course it will more expensive. After arrived, our cable car will directly use by another passenger to the opposite route.
Genting Highland located in uphill, so the temperature in there lower than Kuala Lumpur. It was 17 degree Celcius and windy. I was regret I only wear crop top and short pants. Cable Car will stop at Sky Avenue Station which connected to biggest shopping mall in there named Sky Avenue Shopping Mall. We looked around in mall, perhaps maybe there's have luxurious store which give sale ✌ There's many museum, the famous one is SeniKome Peng Heng which display art, culture even culinary from all region in Malaysia.
Moved to another building, still in same area, we found First World Hotel which is the biggest hotel in the world. As I saw in my last time visit, the hotel guest can self check in by own self. The lobby is like terminal bus because it was crowded, but it have beautiful decoration.
One level belom the hotel, there's First World Plaza, it look like another shopping mall, have many branded store. I also tried to visit Ripley Believe It or Not, to saw weird and interesting exhibition. I heard, this exhibit already close, but last year they reopened it. You also can take picture in there, make sure to visit it.
Beside Ripley Believe It or Not, First World Plaza also have indoor theme park, cineplex watersplash for kid only, and many entertainment performance hold in here. There's also have casino named Casino de Genting which become place for legal gambling in Malaysia. To enter to the venue, you must give your ID Card to security check, as I heard this place is forbidden for any Muslims in Malaysia, but if you Muslim and foreigner you can come but with requirement, we can not take a photo inside. I didn't come inside the casino, because I was afraid (LOL!), maybe if I have another chance I will come to there.

I also ate lunch in Mcdonald's in T1 Level, it was quite long to order the meals. Honestly, I felt something different between McD in Malaysia and in Indonesia, I don't know what it is, but I like McD Indonesia more👌 For Muslim peoples, you should careful to eat in this area, because many food is not halal but all waitress is really helpful, they will notify you if you can not eat it, especially if you wear hijab. If not wear hijab, better you ask first before order a foods.
However all outdoor attractions had been closed, due to Genting will cooporate with 20th Century Fox to create a theme park which insipired by movies named 20th Century Fox World. Unfortunately the opening date still uncertain due to lawsuit problem between Genting and Fox. I heard, they will open it sometimes in 2019, I hope I will come this year to visit this new theme park.
Pleased and tired, time already show 3.30 PM o'clock. We planned to go down to terminal bus, cause our bus will departed at 5 PM. Lucky me, the queue to go down not too long compare when we go up in the morning. It took around 30 minutes until we rode the cable car again.
That's all my activity for 4 days in Malaysia. Hope it can help you too create your perfect holiday.
